Video games and employability: a game-based learning approach to developing graduate attributes

The employability of our graduates is under increasing scrutiny, and there is broad agreement that what students get out of a degree programme cannot be expressed merely in terms of what they have learned about their chosen subject. In many institutions, the skills, competencies and attitudes that students develop at university – over and above the acquisition of disciplinary knowledge – are referred to as ‘graduate attributes’.
